The Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce celebrated National Women’s Month by honoring eight outstanding women and one organization during the 2018 AXA Advisors Businesswomen of the Year Awards in March.

This signature awards program is hosted by the chamber annually, in partnership with AXA Advisors, and recognizes outstanding women business leaders in the community who have achieved excellence in their profession, serve as role models for women and are deeply passionate about our collective Miami.

“Someone said earlier that it takes a village to be successful and I would like to start by recognizing my team,” said C.L. Conroy, recipient of the Outstanding Corporate Leader Award. “Your smartest moment in business is surrounding yourself with smarter people in business.

My firm is the Madonna of PR firms because of the number of times we’ve had to reinvent ourselves over the last 28 years; but I wake up every day and it doesn’t feel like I’m going to work because I enjoy it so much.”

This year’s list of outstanding honorees:

“We are very proud and honored to once again present and sponsor the Businesswomen of the Year Awards,” said Luis Chiappy, executive vice president of AXA Advisors LLC. “Our company works towards recognizing the particular financial planning needs of businesswomen, and women in general. With that goal in mind, we have designed a series of programs and specialized financial plans to help women take control of their finances and their financial future.”
