Coral Gables High announces students in 2016 Merit Scholarship Competition

Coral Gables High School has announced the names of students who have qualified for the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Competition.

The following 11th graders have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation as qualifying to enter the 2016 National Merit Scholarship Competition: Edmund Aramayo, Jessica Breznick, Evan Caldwell, Stephan Chamberlin, Maya Iskandarani, Jordan Payne, Juan Salazar, Kasandra Scholz, Howard Senior and Jordan Sheppard.

These students were among the 50,000 highest-scoring students out of the 1.5 million who took the October PSAT/NMSQT qualifying exam.

The following 11th graders scored in the top 2.5 percent of all Hispanic/Latino students in the region who took the qualifying PSAT/NMSQT exam in October: Edmund Aramayo, Stephan Chamberlin, Juan Salazar and Alaix Parra. These students will be invited to participate in the National Hispanic Recognition Program.
