Miami law firm Bilzin Sumberg welcomed more than 50 Coral Gables High School students to its offices on Tuesday, Mar. 8, to provide them with a real life legal experience through a full-day legal education conference.
Bilzin Sumberg staff taught the juniors and seniors enrolled in law classes about contract disputes, the First Amendment aspects of “cyber-bullying,” and real estate negotiations.
The conference was part of the Third Annual NALP/Street Law Legal Diversity Pipeline Program, a national initiative designed to engage minority high school students and encourage them to pursue a career in law. Bilzin Sumberg is one of only six law firms in the country — and the only one in Florida — selected to participate in this diversity pipeline program.
