Coral Gables Hospital welcomes Kristy Giarratano as its new hospital emergency department director. In her new role, Giarratano will be responsible for managing clinical nursing staff and administrative planning for emergency services.
Giarratano has more than eight years of experience providing emergency department care. For the last year, she served as the interim assistant director of nursing at New York Health and Hospitals. Giarratano was responsible for 130 nurses and collaborated with leadership to compose and update the facility policies and procedures.

Giarratano earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas. She is also a member of the Emergency Nurses Association, American Nurses Association and the American Organization of Nurse Executives.
