Coral Gables Hospital welcomes Lucia Martin as its new medical surgical unit manager. In her new role, Martin will be responsible for the care provided in the medical surgical unit. She will also manage patient flow, and will collaborate with physicians.
Martin has more than 14 years of healthcare experience. She has worked as a charge nurse and operations coordinator supervisor. Her experience includes pediatrics, observation, oncology and telemetry. In her prior role, she served at Coral Gables Hospital as the assistant nurse manager in the evenings. Lucia’s passion for nursing started at a very young age when she cared for her father who faced Stage 3 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Martin earned her Bachelors in Nursing from Chamberlain University. She is a member of the Medical Surgical Association.
