Ricardo J. Ramirez joins the staff at Coral Gables Hospital as the director of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). In his new position, Ramirez will be responsible for supervising between ICU staff members and fostering effective communication, ensuring that patients receive the best care possible.
“We are excited to have Ricardo join our staff at Coral Gables Hospital,” said Jeffrey M. Welch, the hospital’s CEO. “We are confident that his education and prior experience will serve as a strong foundation for his new position at our hospital.”
Ramirez has nearly 10 years of clinical nursing experience. He previously worked as a critical care nurse, a patient care supervisor and a clinical business technology consultant.
Ramirez earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Florida. In 2010 he was named Nurse of the Year at another Miami hospital and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
