Coral Gables Plumbing will celebrate its 100-year anniversary in just three years, having been founded in 1926. That makes the family-owned company nearly as old as Coral Gables itself.

And although Coral Gables Plumbing moved outside the boundary of The City Beautiful years ago, much of the company’s work takes place within the Gables, although they provide their signature high quality service throughout Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe Counties.

Starting with the most basic of all plumbing repair needs – a broken pipe or an overflowing toilet, Coral Gables Plumbing shines in its around-the-clock emergency plumbing services for residential and commercial properties. “These types of repairs may seem like an emergency to the property owner, but they are not to us. Whatever the problem may be, we have faced it before and we know how to fix it immediately,” says Vice President Brandon Swanson, who also happens to be the son of the owner, Rick Swanson.  Brandon’s brothers Boman and Wyatt are also part of the company, which was founded by their grandfather Edward Swanson.

“We all live and work in this community,” explains Brandon. “I see my customers at the grocery store and shopping mall and I’ve never come across a customer that I needed to turn my head away from or be ashamed to bump into. We take pride in our work and support our customers.”

A primary aspect that sets Coral Gables Plumbing apart is its large and well-appointed plumbing showroom, which is frequently updated to provide customers with the latest displays from leading plumbing manufacturers such as Kohler, Toto, Jacuzzi, Grohe and Hansgrohe.

“We offer Miami’s finest displays of bathroom and kitchen styles and designs, all fully functional in our store so customers can see how well fixtures, faucets and countertops work and look before making an investment,” says Brandon. “Once the hardware decisions are made, our team of designers and builders can remodel or renovate your bathroom or kitchen into a masterpiece.”

Coral Gables Plumbing prides itself on staying abreast of new innovations in the field. One of these is trenchless pipe repair, according to Brandon. “Many of the cast iron sewer pipes in old Coral Gables homes are now experiencing leaks due to corrosion and cracking. Until recently, the only way to repair the broken pipe was to dig up the entire yard and break through floors to remove and replace the old pipe,” he says. “Cure-in-place piping (CIPP) allows us to saturate a pipe lining with epoxy resin and then insert the lining into the damaged pipe. The lining cures within three hours and the pipes are repaired in the same day and will last the life of the house.”
