About William Keddell
Born in New Zealand, William Keddell graduated with a BA (Hons) from the Chelsea School of Art in London in 1977. For ten years, he pursued filmmaking in both New Zealand and London. In the late 1980s, he relocated to the USA, where he raised a family and continued his career as an artist, focusing on exploring stereovision. During the 1990s, his artist studio was situated adjacent to downtown’s historic Lummus Park. This location, featuring the preserved Pioneer Home and Slave Plantation Longhouse, inspired William to advocate for uncovering hidden pre-1896 histories of Miami.
