The last few months of 2021 were packed with celebration and awareness in Keralty Hospital Miami. Aside from celebrating Emergency Department nurses and wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness, the hospital also recognized the Respiratory Care Department, the Peri-Op Nursing Department, the Radiology Department, wore blue in observance of National Men’s Health Month, and celebrated its Employee Recognition Day.

Although employee recognition happens daily, Keralty Hospital Miami dedicated a breakfast and lunch feast to its employees. As a special treat, lunch was served by the hospital’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Juan Carlos Echandia. “Our employees are the heart and soul of our organization,” said Dr. Echandia. “It is imperative that we show our appreciation for their hard work and dedication to our patients.”

This year marked the one-year anniversary of Keralty Health Enterprise’s acquisition of Westchester General Hospital, a 125-bed facility located on Coral Way just off the Palmetto Expressway. “This is a special time for us,” said Dr. Carlos Cruz, Chief Operating Officer of Keralty Hospital Miami. “We are starting to see the fruits of our labor and we are very excited for more innovative changes to come.” One of the larger projects in the works includes the remodeling of the entire facility, which kicked off late October 2021.

Keralty Hospital Miami has over 500 employees throughout the facility, in areas that include Emergency Department, Operating Rooms, Registration, Laboratory, Pathology and Radiology. This hospital is committed to excellence in patient care and to providing personalized quality health services in a compassionate and supportive atmosphere.
