The Foundation for New Education Initiatives, Inc. (FNEI) recently held the “For the Love of Learning” gala at the JW Marriott Marquis, which raises funds to provide additional educational resources for Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) students in need.

“We are deeply grateful to all those who attended and supported this event,” said schools superintendent Dr. Jose L. Dotres. “The funds raised during the gala will make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many students, helping to provide them with the tools and opportunities they need to achieve their dreams and unlock their potential.”

The Foundation for New Education Initiatives Inc. (FNEI) raises and distributes funds to support educational initiatives at M-DCPS to help ensure all students in the district, particularly those from suffering economic hardships, have access to the resources they need to succeed academically and personally.

Chaired Superintendent Dotres and community leader Alan Fein of Stearns Weaver Miller, both M-DCPS alumni, the event brought together numerous educators, community and business leaders, and philanthropists.

“It’s inspiring to see our community come together for such an important cause,” Fein said.

“Education is a critical foundation for our future, and this gala demonstrated the incredible generosity and commitment of those who want to ensure every child has access to the resources they deserve.”

The evening featured a cocktail reception, a gourmet dinner, and live entertainment, with all proceeds going towards scholarships, educational resources and educational programs and initiatives designed to help M-DCPS students overcome barriers and achieve success.

“The support we received is truly overwhelming,” said FNEI CEO Erin Sicker. “This gala has shown us just how much our community values education, and we are excited to use these funds to make a lasting impact on the lives of students across Miami-Dade County.”
