The City of Coral Gables has teamed with the South Florida Regional Planning Council and joined a cohort of cities and counties participating in SolSmart, a nationwide program that encourages solar energy development by guiding communities through projects that lower the costs and barriers associated with a community going solar.
The South Florida Regional Planning Council selected the city to be granted no-cost technical guidance from a SolSmart advisor. This advisor has been working on-site in Coral Gables since November to provide expertise and dedicated support to develop solar energy projects locally and to help achieve SolSmart recognition.
