Gables launches resident parking rate pilot program

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The City of Coral Gables launched a reduced parking rate program for residents effective Apr. 1. The pilot program will run through July 6.

Residents who register with the city’s Parking and Mobility Services Department are eligible for a 25 percent discount on rates for on-street parking and city parking lots as well as the Minorca Parking Garage located on Minorca Avenue between Salzedo Street and Ponce de Leon Boulevard.

To take advantage of the discounted rates, residents must email parking@coralgables.com with three required documents: a valid driver’s license, a valid Florida vehicle registration or title, and proof of residency. The discounted rates will only be available by downloading the PayByPhone app and paying with the app.

Once all documents are received and the resident has a valid PayByPhone account, the discount will automatically apply within the app.

This program is an effort by the city to make parking more convenient and encourage residents to visit businesses, which are vital to the local economy.

For questions, concerns or assistance registering, email parking@coralgables.com, call 305- 460-5540 or visit the Parking and Mobility Services Department at 254 Minorca Ave., Suite 204, Coral Gables.
