Greg Martini is one of those people you want in your life as a friend who always brings a smile and whose wit always can draw a hearty laugh. Serious in business, he knows how to make any situation amicable, making him a great lawyer and a dedicated leader who people want to follow.

Greg hales from Poughkeepsie, NY, and moved to Coral Gables at age 12. After graduating from Gulliver Prep, he went on the the University of Texas earning a degree in petroleum and land management and then a juris doctorate at the Univeristy of Miami School of Law. Greg is a partner with the law firm of Sacher, Martini & Sacher PA in Coral Gables and has limited his 30 years of practice to real estate transactions.

He first became involved in volunteerism with the Key Club in high school and then philantropic work through St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church where he has served as member of the board and officer as well as St. Phillip’s Episcopal Church as a director.

For several years he has served on the board of the Rotary Club of Coral Gables. He soon will be concluding his term as club president during which he proved to be a man of vision. His leadership skills, engaging personality and hard work made his dream of a family signature event for the club a reality.

Under his direction, the club held its first ever Chili Cook Off. Not only was the event a nice fundraiser, but it also was so much fun. It was Greg’s commitment to this event and to Rotary that guaranteed its great success. As if to validate this claim, folks are making plans for the 2017 Rotary Chili Cook Off.

This devoted family man is married to a talented artist, Nancy Martini. The couple has three wonderful children: Alexander, 21, who attends Miami-Dade College; Grace, 19, who is a talented performer with an amazing voice, and attends Boston Conservatory, and Joe, 15, who attends New World School of the Arts.

With two boys, it is no wonder Greg became a Scout Leader of BSA Troops 76 and 840. His involvement with the Boy Scouts is legend at Rotary from hauling around mulch they sell every year, to cheese cakes sales and camping trips. He is a real “trooper” for the Scouts and has been very entertaining Rotary Club president often sharing his adventures with his troop and starting each meeting with trivia questions that always help to get everyone seated.

As for hobbies, this outdoor enthusiast lists fishing in the 10,000 Islands.

Greg Martini is a man of faith who is humble, generous and kind — a man of substance devoted to his family and his community.
