Gulliver Preparatory School (Gulliver) proudly announces a landmark collaboration with Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education (Harvard), establishing the Harvard-Gulliver Prep Alliance, an unprecedented strategic initiative in professional development for educators. This transformative alliance—the first of its kind between Harvard and a local school—reaffirms Gulliver’s position as South Florida’s premier independent educational institution and sets a new national benchmark for faculty excellence, innovative pedagogy, and student success.

Through this collaboration, Gulliver faculty will have direct access to cutting-edge research, best practices, and thought leadership from Harvard, one of the world’s most respected educational institutions. This alliance provides Gulliver educators with specialized training and immersive experiences, strengthening the school’s ability to prepare students for a future full of possibilities. In addition, Harvard has chosen Gulliver as its first field-based learning laboratory for professional development, pedagogical advancement, and applied practice in the pre-K through 12 sector.

“At Gulliver, we are unwavering in our commitment to providing an extraordinary education that prepares students for success in an evolving world. Our collaboration with Harvard is a powerful affirmation of our dedication to pedagogical innovation, faculty development, and student outcomes of the highest caliber,” said Gulliver President Simon Hess. “Through this first-in-the-nation alliance, we can further enhance our ability to inspire, challenge, and empower both our educators and our students, reinforcing Gulliver’s position as a leader in independent school education.”

Harvard’s decision to partner with Gulliver affirms Gulliver’s global reputation for academic excellence and the school’s commitment to a future-ready education. By leveraging the expertise and insights of Harvard, Gulliver will continue to cultivate lifelong learners and changemakers, preparing students with the knowledge, skills, and character to step into their futures with confidence.

“As a global leader in education research and innovation, the Harvard Graduate School of Education is committed to advancing the science and practice of learning,” said Dr. Nonie K. Lesaux, Dean of the Harvard Graduate School of Education. “Partnering with Gulliver — a school that exemplifies excellence and progressive educational leadership — creates an extraordinary opportunity to make a transformative contribution. Our pathbreaking alliance and collaboration underscore our shared commitment to shaping the future of education by preparing education leaders and innovators who will change the world.”

The Harvard-Gulliver Prep Alliance is more than a professional development initiative—it is a bold step toward redefining educational excellence, ensuring that Gulliver remains at the forefront of independent school education, and setting new standards for student achievement and faculty growth. For families considering where to send their children, the Harvard-Gulliver Prep Alliance further distinguishes Gulliver as South Florida’s premier independent school, where a deep investment in faculty development ensures that students receive an education that is both rigorous and innovative, preparing them for success in an ever-changing world.
