Coral Gables, September 23rd – Harold “Ed” Patricoff, Miami attorney and partner in the law firm of Shutts & Bowen, has been named to the board of the Coral Gables Museum Board of Directors effective October 1st, it was announced today by incoming Chairman Christopher Spuches.

With 34 years of experience and recognized as one of the preeminent international commercial litigators in his field, Patricoff heads the firm’s International Dispute Resolution Group, Widely known for his expertise in the power, fuel and aviation industries, he has served as chair of Shutts’ Business Litigation Practice Group.

Patricoff has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions, including being one of the Daily Business Review’s “Most Effective Lawyers,” fifteen straight years as one of the South Florida Legal Guide’s Top Lawyers, and seven consecutive appearances on the list of Florida Super Lawyers, the latter of which is an honor reserved for those lawyers who consistently demonstrate excellence in practice.

After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Biology & Political Science at Stetson University, he went on to earn his Doctor of Jurisprudence at that institution. Patricoff presently serves as a Trustee on the Board of Directors for Stetson’s Business School.

Patricoff has long been active in his community, serving on the board of directors of, among others, the YMCA, the Miami Symphony Orchestra, the American Nicaraguan Foundation and as past chairman of the Metro Miami Board for the American Heart Association. One of his particular favorites is his long-standing position on the board of the historic Ted Smallwood Store & Museum, located in Chokoloskee, inside Everglades National Park.
