Baseball is for the kids and the Miami Marlins have teamed with long-time partner Miccosukee in providing new adventures for our youngest fans during their visit to loanDepot park. To further captivate the future All-Stars, the Marlins and Miccosukee have refreshed and enhanced the Billy’s Kids Zone, the dedicated kids’ area in center field on the Promenade Level. The updated space will feature a new Everglades-theme look for Billy’s Boathouse presented by Miccosukee as well as a new family photo opportunity.
“We are proud to continue our long-time partnership with our friends at Miccosukee, and we are excited to integrate their brand into the family fun experience we offer here at loanDepot park,” said Marlins Chief Commercial Officer David Oxfeld. “The updated Billy’s Boathouse along with the Micco Minute, a new in-game opportunity for kids to interview Marlins players, will bring a lot of smiles to our youngest fans!”
“The Marlins and Miccosukee have had a mutually beneficial partnership for several years now, and this year, through collaboration with the organization, we are thrilled to introduce the enhanced Billy’s Boathouse to the ballpark,” said Lucas Osceola, Assistant Chairman for the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida. “We continue to look for innovative ways to share our story and culture with the community of South Florida, and this is one of those fun opportunities.”
In addition to Billy’s Boathouse presented by Miccosukee, the partnership is bringing family content throughout the season with the Micco Minute. The new segment, which airs during select home games, brings fans and kids into the dugout to learn about their favorite Marlins players. The first Micco Minute debuted on Tuesday, April 4 and featured Marlins third baseman Jean Segura and Bryan, a local 10-year-old baseball player who also plays third base and wears #9. Bryan asked rapid-fire, fun questions that showcased Jean’s personality.
The next Miami Marlins Sunday Funday is set for April 30 when the club hosts the Chicago Cubs. Families can check out all the fun and catch Marlins Baseball, while experiencing the revamped Billy’s Boathouse for a fun day at the ballpark! Tickets are available now at Marlins.com/Tickets.
