The 2023 Jeep Compass is a sight for sore eyes, with its updated features and great performance.

Starting at $28,400, the Jeep Compass loves the road. It delivers 24 miles per gallon in the city and 32 miles per gallon on the highway, which is nice efficiency. You get 200 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque on a new 2.0-liter turbo, which offers a maximum towing capacity of up to 2,000 pounds.

The look of the Jeep is always the selling point and Compass gives you a lot to work with. The wheel designs are new, with some options from 17 to 19 inches. The 17-inch painted diamond-cut aluminum wheels on Compass Trailhawk feature a new all-black look.

The seven-slot grille blends the past and the future, with rounded edges and smooth textures. There are also modern exterior details including front and rear facias that complement the organic curves of the body. I like the sleek and sporty, modern style of this iconic SUV.

The LED headlamps brightly light the road in front of you while the available fog lamps helps to enhance visibility in all kinds of weather, like the big rains we all got in South Florida. Is summer here, already?

I also like the gloss roof, which offers sophisticated style that extends throughout the length of the vehicle, accentuating its exterior lines. There is also an available power liftgate, with a feature that allows you to unlock and lock the back from 60 feet away.

On the inside, you get great bells and whistles like the largest standard touchscreen radio display in its class. It’s well integrated with the instrument panel. There is also an available 10.25-inch digital cluster display that provides up to the minute information about your drive.

In the cabin of the 2023 Jeep Compass, you have the choice of a heated steering wheel and heated front seats to make sure you are nice and cozy.

Overall, I like the details, like the Jeep branding on the seats and the new door trim and bezels, which add a nice design to the interior.

The Alpine Premium Audio System is packed with the available “sun and sound” group, which also includes the dual-pane panoramic sunroof. All of the sound is run through a 12-channel, 506 watt amplifier with nine speakers and a booming 8-inch subwoofer. Everything sounds great to me.

I have to say that the 2023 Jeep Compass is a great ride with lots of features that respond to the needs of the driver and the passengers. It makes driving a breeze.
