Shake your shamrock this St. Patrick’s Day at JohnMartin’s Irish Pub & Restaurant’s 29th annual Celtic celebration. On Sunday, Mar. 17, the iconic Coral Gables pub will host a variety of Irish-themed St. Patrick’s Day activities for everyone to enjoy starting at noon snf continuing until 2 a.m.
The official kickoff will be marked with the band “Luna,” who owners Martin Lynch and John Clarke will fly over from Ireland to perform for three nights on Mar. 16, 17 and 19. Lead singer Shane McCluskey will perform a series of traditional folk songs to bring the spirit of Ireland to South Florida.
Guests will enjoy a host of activities during St. Patrick’s Day celebration including fun for the family with additional music provided by JohnMartin’s deejay at 9 p.m. JohnMartin’s makes sure that St. Patrick’s Day isn’t exclusively for adults either. Kids can get in on the action this year with unicorn pony rides, face painting and balloon animals from noon to 3 p.m.
The local pub will feature delicious Irish beverages alongside its authentic Irish fare. The special St. Patrick’s Day menu will include bangers and mash, shepherd’s pie, fish and chips and corned beef sandwiches.
“Guests will truly feel like they’re celebrating on the Emerald Isle at JohnMartin’s,” Martin Lynch, co-owner of JohnMartin’s, said. “This annual tradition is our favorite part of the year and we are happy to host a day when everyone is a little bit Irish.”
