“A Gables Fourth” Celebration and Fireworks Extravaganza will take place at the iconic Biltmore Hotel, located at 1200 Anastasia Ave. The festive, family-friendly event, co-hosted in partnership by the City of Coral Gables and the Biltmore Hotel, will mark the anniversary of the country’s independence with colorful fireworks displays and live music. Grounds open at 5 p.m., the concert begins at 7 p.m., and fireworks launch at 9 p.m. General admission is free.
“We are thrilled to celebrate our nation’s independence as a community and look forward to welcoming everyone to this hallmark summer event set at the historic Biltmore Hotel and Golf Course,” said Fred Couceyro, director of the Community Recreation Department. “Fourth of July presents a special opportunity to celebrate our national pride in grand style as a community.”
Attendees are encouraged to arrive by bike to the Biltmore Hotel. Easy, secure, and complimentary bike valet parking is provided by Green Mobility Network from the William H. Kerdyk Biltmore Tennis Center, 1150 Anastasia Ave.
Limited free parking will be available beginning at 5 p.m. at Municipal Garage 4, located at 345 Andalusia Ave. and the Museum Garage at 220 Aragon Ave. Shuttle pickups will take place starting at 5 p.m. from Coral Gables City Hall and will end at 8:15 p.m. Return shuttles will continue throughout the evening to Coral Gables City Hall.
The intersection of Catalonia and Andalusia avenues will serve as the drop-off and pickup point for ADA, Freebee and rideshare services.
Attendees are reminded that no pets, fireworks, weapons, grills, glass items or tents are allowed on the grounds. Only personal size coolers (able to be carried on a rider’s lap while on the trolley) will be permitted. Service animals are welcome. The Coral Gables Police Department will direct traffic and reminds attendees that parking is not permitted on streets and that access to streets near the Biltmore will be limited to residents.
