Kerdyk Real Estate has handled the sale of the development site, including land and buildings, of the landmark Duffy’s Tavern Sports Grill at 2108 SW 57 Ave. for $4.5 million.

The transaction closed on July 26.

The seller was 2112 Realty Corp. and the buyer was Greenway Point LLC. Kerdyk Real Estate team members William Colas, director of sales, and Trae Kerdyk, senior associate, represented the seller. According to the buyer, Duffy’s Tavern will remain as a tenant for the immediate future.

Duffy’s Tavern Sports Grill has been serving the community for over 40 years. The development site zoned BU-2, on the edge of Coral Gables, featured multiple lots comprised of 30,961 square feet, a 3,456-square-foot operational restaurant and a 3,150-square-foot automotive building located at 2150 SW 57 Ave.

The family-oriented restaurant and bar and includes a full kitchen, bar, grease trap, walk-in freezer, storage areas and a liquor license. Originally built in 1929 as a residence, Duffy’s has been a loyal gathering place for burgers, drinks and sports fans in the neighborhood since Martin Duffy first opened the business in 1955. The current owner/operators are Wayne Russell and James Fabbricatore.
