Surrounded by family and friends, brothers Jeff and Jon Garcia held the official grand opening of uBreakifix on Dec. 28. State Rep. Erik Fresen performed the ceremonial ribbon cutting.
uBreakiFix specializes in same-day repair service of small electronics, repairing cracked screens, water damage, software issues, camera issues and other technical problems at its more than 170 stores nationwide. Its newest location, uBreakiFix Coral Gables, opened at 2101 Ponce de Leon Blvd.
uBreakiFix has saved Americans an estimated $500 million in replacement costs since its inception in 2009 and has an average repair cost for electronics of $85. This is the first uBreakiFix location for co-owners Jeff and Jon Garcia. The Garcia brothers are excited to bring high quality technology repair to the community and have plans to open several more stores in the area. This Coral Gables location represents the first of eight stores planned to open in Miami-Dade County during the next six months. In 180 days, uBreakiFix will surface as the largest tech repair company in the largest county in the state. The Garcias’ are scheduled to open their second store on Feb. 1 at 8298 SW 40 St. (Bird Road).
Jeff Garcia, responsible for day to day operations, brings nearly 20 years of public relations and government affairs experience with him to this new endeavor. Jeff Garcia initially learned about uBreakifix as a customer who had broken several devices and was impressed with the service and professionalism. After meeting with technicians, owners and visiting competitors, Garcia came to realize that uBreakifix was the leader in professional technology repair.
