IMO Cosmetic Dermatology, short for In My Opinion, is a modern, concierge-style cosmetic medical practice providing non-surgical, age-defying beauty treatments for today’s discerning patients founded by Leslie Rohaidy, PA-C AAOPM Fellow. Rohaidy has opened a brand new, state-of-the-art practice in Coral Gables, Florida, in partnership with real estate conglomerate and operator of commercial retail, Brookfield Partners.
The 3,000 square foot space in The Shoppes at the Village of Merrick Park opened in July 2022 and features bespoke interior design, a medical-grade skincare boutique, six private treatment rooms, and dedicated spaces for medical grade Hydrafacials and Laser Treatments. Conceptualized and designed by Rohaidy herself and curated with pieces from Kelly Werstler, Loew, and Lulu and Georgia, IMO’s office offers its patients a space that is the perfect balance of tranquility and luxury. The minimalist decor and neutral, yet modern venetian plaster color scheme, paired with custom ceilings and arched doors give the space a light and airy feel, while the velvet sofa, modern alabaster light fixtures and accents paired with italian terrazzo counters add understated glamor. Notable clinical-grade skincare brands available at the boutique include: Skinbetter science, VI Derm, Skinceuticals, Epionce, IS Clinical and DermaDoctor.
A graduate of Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim School of Medicine PA program with over ten years of formal medical education and training, Leslie Rohaidy is a licensed and certified PA-C and holds a certification with the American Academy of Procedural Medicine (AAOPM), which she earned upon completion of a full-time, year and a half fellowship focused exclusively on cosmetic procedures. Prior to these certifications, she was an international medical student in St. George’s School of Medicine MD program and published work in symposiums in evolutionary genomics while attending the University of Miami for her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Biological Science.
Rohaidy noticed a gap in the industry between providers and patients where discounted prices and a lack of transparency and honesty led to less than desirable results. Seeking to bridge that gap, Rohaidy prides herself and her practice on providing a collaborative relationship between patient and provider with an emphasis on safety, sterility, education and follow-up to deliver natural, subtle conservative results.
IMO Cosmetic Dermatology separates itself from the usual cosmetic providers in discount-driven medical spas by offering bespoke facial analysis and custom consultations, where a careful and holistic evaluation of one’s anatomy and facial expression pattern are noted and recorded. This is followed by an expert explanation of what patients’ short- and long-term areas of treatment focus should be, regardless of whether they decide to proceed with a treatment or not. IMO is one of the only offices in the area that dedicates over an hour to each new patient consultation.
