The GFWC Coral Gables Woman’s Club’s annual gala to benefit its free children’s dental clinic on Saturday, Feb. 9, promises an evening full of delights.

With its Mardi Gras masquerade theme, guests are invited to the club’s historic clubhouse, 1001-1009 E. Ponce de Leon Blvd., from 7 to 11p.m., to enjoy an amazing evening that begins with a pre-dinner reception with open bar and hors d’oeuvres in one of two ballrooms where guests may bid on numerous great silent auction items.

Guests will move on to another ballroom for an elegant dinner with entertainment and be able to tour the club’s Coral Gables Children Dental Clinic. After dinner, everyone will return to place bids in the other ballroom where they will partake in some fabulous desserts and dance the night away.

A non-profit social and community service organization based in Coral Gables since 1923, the Coral Gables Woman’s Club is a charter member of one of the world’s largest volunteer woman’s organizations, the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs.

The Coral Gables Children’s Dental Clinic, the beneficiary of the gala, is housed within the club’s quarters and was founded in 1939 to provide free care for children of families considered working-poor, impoverished or transient under the age of 18 in Miami-Dade County. The annual gala is the largest fundraiser for the clinic that serves 600 patients and provided last year alone more than $248,000 in free dental services.

Sponsors for this year’s gala include Publix, Gulliver Schools, Miami’s Community Newspapers and Cambridge Title and Services. Double Eagle Nutrition is this year’s platinum sponsor.
