Mayor Wayne Messam Joins Chamberlain University To Celebrate Grand Opening of Newly Relocated Miramar Campus on January 23

What:

Chamberlain University, an Adtalem Global Education institution, will celebrate the grand opening of its newly relocated, state-of-the-art campus in Miramar, Florida. The ribbon cutting ceremony will include a keynote address from Mayor Wayne Messam, mayor of the city of Miramar, and remarks from Sharon Rodriguez, president of Chamberlain’s Miramar campus. Refreshments will be served following the ceremony.

Attendees are also invited to tour the healthcare education facility that provides an enhanced learning environment for Chamberlain’s College of Nursing students and faculty with elevated lecture-style classrooms, science labs, a simulation care center, a modern admissions center, and faculty offices. The building also features student amenities including a well-appointed study area and comfortable study lounges.

Tuesday, January 23, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Campus tours will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Where:

10315 USA Today Way, the former USA Toay printing and distribution center in the Miramar Park of Commerce. The ceremony will be in the lobby of the main building, attendees should use the West entrance.

Why:      

Chamberlain is the leading grantor of nursing degrees in the U.S. and is committed to educating and empowering diverse healthcare professionals to address workforce shortages and health equity. With the healthcare industry facing a significant workforce shortage, the Florida Hospital Association projects the state will be short nearly 60,000 nurses by 2035. Although the shortage has decreased since the pandemic, Florida has the second-highest number of seniors in the U.S. and is expected to see a population increase of about 25 million residents in the next 10 years.
