Actors’Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre has announced the promotion of Christy McCouch to the position of operations manager.
A key member of the Actors’ Playhouse team for the past 10 years, McCouch has moved up the ranks from assistant box office manager to house manager to her most recent position as company manager and assistant to artistic director David Arisco. In her new position as operations manager, McCouch aims to sustain the cultural organization at the highest level and build upon its successes for the future.
“We are thrilled to entrust Christy McCouch in the position of operations manager, a position that she has earned for her 10 years of dedication, business acumen, and overall knowledge of our organization,” said Barbara S. Stein, Actors’ Playhouse executive producing director. “Her skills and enthusiasm will help guide us in our 28th season and beyond.”
McCouch comes to this new position with a strong background in arts and management. Prior to joining Actors’ Playhouse in 2005, McCouch was the house manager and volunteer coordinator for the Coconut Grove Playhouse upon moving to Miami in 2003.
Originally from Waynesville, MO, she started her career as assistant house manager and subsequently, house manager for Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts, a 2,200-seat performing arts center on the Missouri State University campus, while also enrolled as a full-time student.
McCouch earned her bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Management from Missouri State University.
