The Michael Fux Family Center (MFFC) is proud to announce the opening of a new addition, The FuXplore Room, which is designed for interactive play for all children, especially those with special needs. Some of the high-tech features include interactive displays that are gesture and voice controlled and multiple screens to play images of all kinds. The MFFC also plans to install Ground FX equipment in the room, which can track body positions when the children move and project images over any surface.
“Research suggests enhancing the overall physical environment of patients and families fosters healing,” said Janet Bell-Taylor, Director of Patient Family Services & The Michael Fux Family Center at MCH. “This new addition of The FuXplore Room is one more way in which MCH demonstrates its’ commitment to the patients and families it serves,” she said.
The FuXplore Room also plans to broadcast major sporting events, hold educational classes and provide recreational activities for patients and families such as meditation, zumba, yoga, and much more.
