Beth David announces a 120,000 square foot complete redesign of its current site. The $30 million large scale project includes a new building to house the Gordon School (18 months thru 5th grade and a specialized educational program designed for children on the autism spectrum), in addition to a state-of-the-art recreational community center to meet the area’s needs. Renderings of the new project will be unveiled at the April 1 #Seethefuture Beth David event.
Beth David is uniquely located at the crossroads of some of the most significant thoroughfares – Coral Way, Brickell Avenue, South Dixie Highway (U.S.1) and the Rickenbacker Causeway. The need for the repurposing is due to Central Miami’s expected population growth and Miami’s rapidly changing urban core. According to the 2014 Population Study of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation, this area has experienced explosive growth, tripling the number of households in the last couple years.
Daniel Fujita, the congregation’s president and incoming chairman of Beth David’s Vision project, will be honored at the Gala.
