M House Miami, Coral Gables’ fresh, new culinary arrival located on the city’s iconic Le Jeune Road, hosted its grand opening on Thursday, June 28. More than 300 community leaders, gastronomic enthusiasts, trendsetters, media and friends rang in the commemorative event by enjoying an energetic scene and first taste of the restaurant’s coastal European fare.

Set in the midst of Downtown Coral Gables, M House is now open to the public.

The highly anticipated soiree began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony helmed by Coral Gables Mayor Raúl Valdés-Fauli and Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce first vice chair Brian Barakat. As an extension of the sophisticated interior that is rich with greenery, a sprawling emerald carpet extended to greet guests, framed by a branded “M House” backdrop. Upon arrival, attendees were presented with prosecco-filled flutes and made-to-order drinks, before entering the main dining area where a culinary tasting awaited.

Delectable hors d’oeuvres flowed from the open kitchen, offering samplings of bold flavors from M House’s menu inspired by the coastlines of Italy, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, and Greece. Items included Fried Artichoke – served with oven-roasted pepper aioli, topped with pickled onions; Wagyu Toast – Florida Wagyu tartare, homemade bread, spread with aioli, and Bacalao Croquettes – Portugal salted cod, labneh aioli, topped with pecorino relish.

Guests sipped spirits provided by Bacardí and Tito’s Handmade Vodka, delivered through an ice sculpture of the M House logo, while an exclusive selection of handcrafted cocktails were concocted by the restaurant’s master mixologists. Featured libations included the Khaleesi – Don Julio Reposado combined with a basil, serrano pepper and agave mix topped with cucumber soda and lime; St. Tropez – vanilla vodka concocted with simple syrup, blueberries, basil and garnished with lemon; and the La Provence – a tall glass of Moët & Chandon, infused with hints of lavender and crème de violet.

Cocktails were enjoyed amid a range of music, from a live guitarist performing Spanish melodies to energetic tunes spun by DJ Apache.

“This long-awaited dining concept has finally come to fruition, and we could not be more thrilled,” said Francisco Arocha, partner of Metropolis Group, the restaurant’s ownership. “We are most thankful for our team’s dedication to bringing a culinary vision to life and the city’s very warm welcome. With the opening of M House, it will not only continue a legacy, but mark the beginning of a new chapter.”

Located at 2524 S. Le Jeune Rd., the restaurant interiors, designed by fashion and interior décor firm Sanchez+Coleman Studio, hosted guests in an awe-inspiring contemporary setting. Marked by retro charm and urban tropical relics, towering black and white portraits framed the wall, while warm candlelight added to the ambiance. Select tables were set with the restaurant’s carefully-cultivated dishware, showcasing what’s to come. Below the marble-top tables ran the striking geometric flooring, leading guests all the way toward a symbolic olive tree, posed in the middle of the dining rotunda.

The restaurant is officially open for lunch and dinner daily, Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to midnight, and on Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. Happy hour is available in the lounge Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
