Paradise Gym hosted a charity fitness class on Tuesday, July 27, to raise money for Neat Stuff, a nonprofit local charity which provides new clothing to homeless, abused, neglected and other children in distress in South Florida. Paradise Gym raised more than $500 and all proceeds from the fitness class benefited Neat Stuff.
The charity fitness class was open to members and non-members, who each donated $10 to this worthy cause. Mark Dziadek, Certified Personal Trainer and former assistant strength and conditioning coach for the University of Miami, donated his time and energy to lead the class. Participants performed numerous speed and agility drills, including cone and ladder, push-ups, and sit-ups. At the end of the hour class, everyone “felt the burn” but was exhilarated and in high spirits knowing that they raised money for Neat Stuff.
“As a neighborhood gym, we are dedicated to supporting our community and wanted to bring attention to a local charity,” said Kathie Chavarria, manager of Paradise Gym. “We chose Neat Stuff because we love charities that help children and deem their mission of providing new clothing to kids in distress a very worthy cause.”
Located at 1236 S. Dixie Hwy. in Coral Gables, Paradise Gym is a friendly neighborhood sports club where everyone feels welcome and at home. The mission is to provide a pleasant exercise environment with experienced and energetic staff dedicated to encouraging members to become healthier, fitter and physically active for life.
