A new chic boutique recently opened its doors in the heart of Coral Gables at 218 Andalusia Ave. Plume, a globally inspired home accessories store, is the creation of interior designer Magita Rojas together with her daughter, Susana Cisneros.
Following a personal passion, pillows are one of the store’s primary products and the selection is unique and varied, ranging from hand woven brightly colored Turkish pillows to pillows made from palm fronds from the Congo. The variety is extensive and there is something there to inspire everyone. A pillow is not just a mere accessory to them but rather is to be considered “a purse for your sofa,” the owners’ motto.
Besides pillows, the store has focused on gorgeous floor and table lamps as well as exquisitely selected designer wallpapers. In recognizing a need for these specific items in the community, the mother-daughter team wanted to bring these products to the local market while providing design inspiration to homeowners.
You also will find other items for sale such as tabletop rosaries made of semi-precious stones from Guatemala, acrylic dreamcatchers made by local artist Gabriella Gonzalez and handblown glass vases by renowned Los Angeles designer Joe Cariati.
