Sean McGrover was born and raised in Florida. He graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Business Administration and Finance. He lives in Coral Gables and is happily married to Alexia McGrover. Sean has two children, Sofia and Maxwell.
McGrover sits on the Coral Gables Construction Board and was chosen for that seat by Coral Gables Vice Mayor Michael Mena in 2021.
McGrover is the owner/operator of McGrover Funding Corporation, a Florida licensed mortgage company offering FHA, VA and conventional residential loans throughout Florida. He also is the principal broker of Maxwell McGrover Realty LLC. which is a boutique real estate firm providing buying, listing and selling of residential and commercial real estate; he is managing member of McGrover Commercial Capital LLC which offers commercial and hard money loans nationwide. Lastly, he is the founder of MortgageInfoMillionaire, a nationwide coaching program to help individuals build a private money lending business anywhere in the U.S.
When asked what he would do in the first 100 days after being taking office he said, “In the first 100 days as a sitting Coral Gables City Commissioner I would like to implement the following:
1. Protect our community from overspending during the imminent recession. Spend the first 100 days reviewing the city budget and find opportunities to cut costs, cancel overpriced contracts and table any imminent contracts that may be more expensive today as opposed to 2-3 years in the future.
2. Attract more businesses to our community to increase revenues and create more diverse employment opportunities. I would like to suggest to our city commission to create a nationwide marketing campaign to attract companies that are considering moving to Florida.
3. Create a Coral Gables crypto coin to prepare our city for the future of decentralized financing. By preparing a white paper outlining a crypto coin for Coral Gables will prepare our city for the future. A crypto coin can be used as a great utility tool for any future growth of our community.
4. Structure a city grant program to help our first responders and healthcare workers to have access to down payment assistance to show our city’s appreciation for their work. This suggestion, I believe will help to lessen the disagreement between our first responders and our city officials. This program would help our city attract the best of the best of the people who protect and care for our community and neighbors.”
