The South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC) proudly hosted its 7th Annual Sustainability Conference and Green Visionary Awards Luncheon on August 15, 2025, at The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables.
This year’s event, presented by Carnival, focused on “Confronting Global Climate Change for a Better World: Shaping a Resilient Tomorrow with Energy, AI, and Waste Reduction.” The conference featured a distinguished panel, including:
- Peter Yeo, Senior VP United Nations Foundation & President of the Better World Campaign
- Katherine Cue Fuente, Senior Manager – Government Affairs – Southeastern PepsiCo
- Ron Magill, Communications Director at Zoo Miami & Ron Magill Conservation Endowment
- Jovianna Gonzalez, Founder & CEO – Digital Forensics Now
- Mike Fernandez, Vice President of Post Collections – Waste Pro
- Al Collazo, Hispanic Communications Director at WPP – Ford Hispanic Communications
The panel was moderated by Jorge Hernandez, News Anchor at Televisa and Univision Miami.
The event also recognized local champions with the presentation of the Green Visionary Awards, which honor outstanding organizations and individuals contributing significantly to environmental stewardship. This year’s honorees included:

Conferencia Anual de Sostenibilidad de la SFLHCC y Almuerzo de Premios Visionarios Verdes el 15 de agosto
Coral Gables, FL – La Cámara de Comercio Hispana del Sur de Florida (SFLHCC) celebró con orgullo su 7.ª Conferencia Anual de Sostenibilidad y Almuerzo de Premios Visionarios Verdes el 15 de agosto de 2025 en el Hotel Biltmore de Coral Gables.
El evento de este año, presentado por Carnival, se centró en “Enfrentando el Cambio Climático Global para un-Mundo Mejor: Construyendo un Futuro Resiliente con Energía, IA y Reducción de Residuos”. La conferencia contó con un distinguido panel, que incluyó a:
