Small Business Saturday returned to Coral Gables on Nov.29.
Celebarted each year on the Saturday following Thanksgiving, Small Business Saturday was launched by American Express in 2010 to support the small businesses that create jobs, boost the economy and preserve neighborhoods around the country.
To commemorate the fifth year of Small Business Saturday, five “main streets” across the country received makeovers from professional designers to be revealed leading up to the busy shopping holiday weekend. Participating cities included Coral Gables; San Francisco; Hoboken, NJ; Chicago and Washington, DC.
Lori Dennis, renowned interior designer and star of HGTV’s The Real Designing Women, recreated Miracle Mile storefronts into a holiday wonderland, bringing the golden age of glamour to the Coral Gables streetscape.
