South Florida PBS is delighted to announce its recognition as a finalist in the Short Films category in the 2023 Cinehealth International Health & Wellness Film and Video Festival for its original production, “Research Detectives: Finding Lost Memory.”
Cinehealth stans as the premier international film festival solely dedicated to health and wellness. It aspires to unite communities through innovative storytelling across video, film, TV, and audio. This year’s festival unfolds live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at Digital Pharma East on September 12th. The 2023 lineup features films from various corners of the globe, including the U.S., Greece, and Egypt, among others.
South Florida PBS’ Health Channel production, “Research Detectives,” is a visionary program in collaboration with the Wertheim UF Scripps Institute. It embarks on an unwavering quest to conquer the challenges posed by diseases such as Alzheimer’s and cancer. By harnessing advanced technology and a relentless pursuit of knowledge, the program seeks to uncover groundbreaking treatments and medication. In the first episode of the series, “Research Detectives: Finding Lost Memory,” host Trace Dominguez provides viewers with an exclusive look into the significant scientific efforts involved in discovering effective treatments for Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.
