A new temporary public art installation (depicted in this artist’s rendering) is coming to Giralda Plaza. The Coral Gables City Commission recently approved a concept by local artist Jessy Nite, one of 36 responsive proposals competing for the public installation. “Sun Stories” is a collection of thousands of colored letters that will dance from above creating playful sayings about Coral Gables. As the sun passes through the day, the shadows of the plexiglass letters will become magnified and stretched, moving and dancing across the ground and above the people visiting.
