The Miami Lakes Food & Wine Festival Information

The idea for a Festival was born over a great bottle of wine on a chilly November night in 2017. 

  • The Miami Lakes Food & Wine Festival will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. 
  • The first Festival was held on March 3, 2018.
  • The Festival is held in the Miami Lakes Optimist Park, 6411 N.W. 162nd Street, Miami Lakes, FL  33014.

The Festival –

Enjoy a curated mix of local and international cuisines paired with wines and beverages from around the globe —all for a good cause. Our community offers fantastic restaurants, unique locations, and fabulous opportunities for unforgettable experiences. These are the backbone of the Miami Lakes Food & Wine Festival, and what makes us truly one-of-a kind. Featuring over 25 local restaurants and food participants and more than 50 wines and beverages, this must-attend event has been Miami Lakes’ most sought after ticket since its inception in 2018. 

Marketing –

The highly anticipated Miami Lakes Food & Wine Festival attracts hundreds of attendees from Miami Lakes and neighboring municipalities, including the metropolitan areas of Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The digital marketing strategy for the Festival has leveraged social media and online platforms to provide sponsors, vendors, and participants with powerful marketing opportunities. These efforts have successfully generated over 1 million impressions since the event’s inception, offering extensive brand exposure and engagement to enhance the Festival experience using social media, influencer marketing, and our website as our marketing platform.

The Festival Mission – 

The mission of the Festival is kindness – raising awareness of the need to be kind. #BeKindDrinkWine  In addition,  we are building community while supporting our local area businesses.

Awards – 

In 2019, the Miami Lakes Food & Wine Festival received recognition by the Greater Miami Festival & Events Association with an Honorable Mention in the Best Event of the Year category. In 2021, we received the Best Of in the Best Event Person category, and the Best Digital Marketing Campaign of the Year.

Benefactors – 

Sharing a love of food and wine, event founders Giuseppe Zuozo and Lynn Matos come from totally different industries, backgrounds, and experiences. Their collective impact approach and well-established relationships with South Florida’s most creative and vibrant people result in a Festival where our guests return each year and our sponsors, vendors and participants join us in the celebration of giving back to our community  

The Miami Lakes Town Foundation –

The Festival proceeds benefit the Miami Lakes Town Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2005 to encourage, foster, and conduct programs for the continuing education and literacy of members of the community and to develop programs for the youth, beautification programs and other cultural events for the benefit of the community. With ticket sales and sponsorships, we have impacted thousands of children and adults in our community through a grant program made available each year.
