Coral Gables’ skyline has seen a recent addition with the decorative architectural copper dome on top of The Palace, a luxury senior housing development at 1 Andalusia Avenue.
The dome recalls the architecture of the Spanish Baroque, one of the periods of history of art that served as inspiration for city founder George Merrick’s vision of a community highlighting Mediterranean architecture. The dome has been meticulously crafted, and is topped with a treated copper roof.
Be sure to look up to see this new enhancement to the City Beautiful. When completed, the nine-story structure of The Palace at Coral Gables will have more than 240 residences with a diverse retail component on the ground level, just steps away from Miracle Mile.
