Residents of Coral Gables recently had the opportunity to rate the City Beautiful’s current elected officials and the departments as well as the services each provides.
By simply answering 10 questions Gables resident William A. Bonn was selected as the lucky survey submitter chosen randomly to win a $100 gift certificate to Shula’s 347 Grill, 6901 Red Rd.
The following results are based on the 478 survey responses:
Let’s take a look at how the city officials fared. If the election were held today, would you vote for your current leaders?
• 55 percent would re-elect Mayor Don Slesnick II;
• 45 percent would re-elect Vice Mayor William H. Kerdyk Jr.;
• 49 percent would re-elect Commissioner Rafael Cabrera Jr.;
• 50 percent would re-elect Commissioner Maria Anderson, and
• 53 percent would re-elect Commissioner Wayne E. ‘Chip” Withers.
