Following the success and recent removal of the of Coral Gables’ Umbrella Sky, Fixpresso, the everything is $2 coffee and food shop, has recreated the interactive art pieces on the ceiling of the cafe, in a beautiful floral pattern to celebrate the vibrancy of the Coral Gables community.
“The umbrellas were hung on a fishing line from the ceiling and it took over 15 hours. We want to make people smile when they walk into our coffee shop and we want to bring enjoyment to people,” said Scott Deutsch, founder of Fixpresso.
The umbrellas will be available for viewing for the next month. The rotating umbrella installation will then switch every month to feature different designs, which are chosen by a local committee. The criteria for selection: fun, happy and most familiar.
Inside the store, guests will see a cool subway train, from where the food and beverages are served. The train is part of the Four
F’s mission statement:
Fixed: Every menu item at a fixed price — $2;

Fun: Everyone loves the train, and
Food & Drink: Great!
Fixpresso is the destination for great coffee at a fixed price with everything on the menu priced at just $2 each. Food and beverages — from latte coffees, chocolate croissants, to turkey sandwiches — are available. It also offers other hot and cold beverages, healthy choices, pastries and sweets.
Fixpresso, the new fixed-price coffee café, had its official grand opening on Aug. 17 with over 250 people lining up, starting at 3 a.m. As part of the celebration, the first 100 guests received one free Fixpresso coffee per day for a year. The fast and friendly service, along with its accessible, $2 price point has established it as the go-to when you are on the go.
The flagship store is in the former Starbucks location on the corner of Miracle Mile and Ponce de Leon Blvd. Hours of operation are Mondays-Fridays, 7 a.m.-10 p.m., and Saturdays-Sundays; 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
