When many people resort to over-the-counter medicine for quick relief from nagging shoulder or neck pain, they often overlook the importance of addressing the root cause.
That’s where the Gonstead Chiropractic technique comes in. Often misunderstood by some but lifesaving for others, it’s an underutilized form of treatment that should be considered and incorporated into anyone’s healing journey.
Well Adjusted Chiropractic currently is the only clinic in Miami offering the Gonstead technique. Co-founded by Meir Cioraru, DC, and his wife, Alex Rosen, the couple recently celebrated its grand opening with friends, family and members of the community. The office features an X-ray room, two consultation rooms and two treatment rooms equipped with adjustment tables and tools to make patients leave feeling well adjusted.
Conveniently located on 5050 Biscayne Blvd., the clinic is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with early closures at 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Dr. Cioraru’s passion for chiropractic care comes from personal experience.
“Fifteen years ago, I walked into a chiropractor’s office with little hope after seeing multiple professionals for my right shoulder, which would dislocate almost nightly. That chiropractor changed my life without surgery or pills,” he said.
“Thanks to chiropractic care, I was able to return to sports, wrestle at the collegiate level, and play rugby in men’s Division One. Since being helped, my dream has been to build an office in Miami, the very community I grew up in. It’s an honor and a privilege to be serving my community.”
The Gonstead technique is considered the “Gold Standard” of Chiropractic care. Unlike other chiropractic methods, it offers a full spine approach that addresses both biomechanics and neurology. It uses five key components of analysis: visualization, instrumentation, static palpation, motion palpation and X-ray analysis.
Gonstead chiropractors use tools such as the Nervoscope to detect uneven heat distribution along the spine, which can be an indicator of inflammation and nerve pressure while weight-bearing X-rays rule out any pathologies or fractures that may be present. This is key to precise analysis and personalized, corrective treatments.
