What Makes Us Different?

The Brain Center is a rapidly growing, value-based Neurology ambulatory practice. The mission of the Brain Center is to provide coordinated, comprehensive, patient-centered neurologic care.  So how do we do that?  (Read more)…

First, we have a team approach to care which includes board certified doctors, nurses, medical assistants, and licensed clinical social workers.  Each highly qualified member of the team is focused on getting a full assessment of every patient – the medical assistant takes the medical history, the nurse handles the patient’s medication profile, and the doctor evaluates the patient addressing their medical concern while being mindful of the patient’s overall quality of life.  When needed our patients have access to a Social Worker to help them navigate through their medical and community needs.  We treat the person not just the disease.

We take pride in our model of care which engages not only the patient, but their family and/or caregiver for better support and provides education on treatments, wellness workshops, and the latest medications for an optimal plan of care.

The Brain Center’s continuous pursuit of excellence in clinical care makes us different and has led to the recognition of Patient Centered Specialty Practice by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) in 2019.  We are the only group in the entire State of Florida to receive this recognition and one of only 23 in the entire country!  Through a rigorously documented procedure, the NCQA recognizes specialty practices that excel in delivering hi-quality, patient-centered care by focusing on proactive coordination of care and sharing of information through electronic health records (EHR).  We use a highly customized instance of EPIC as the EHR for all our clinics and have developed proprietary patient assessments to better evaluate and manage complex cases. We promote an open, collaborative, innovative and fun work environment focused on our patients.

We are at the forefront of healthcare innovation and quality care for the most challenging and disabling neurological conditions prevalent in South Florida including Alzheimer’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, and Stroke.  We provide neurology services in-person at 2 locations in Miami-Dade County and offer telemedicine (virtual visits) to all in need of a neurology consultation.  For more information, we can be reached at (786) 565-8735 by phone, or via email at clinic@braincenter.org.  For more complete information on services and programs, please visit www.braincenter.org.
