For more than six decades, Community Newspapers has been a trusted voice for South Florida, connecting neighborhoods and sharing stories that matter. Founded in 1960 when Ron Miller purchased the South Dade Shopping News and turned it into a community-focused publication, the company has grown into one of Miami-Dade’s most respected local news organizations. Today, under the leadership of brothers Michael and Grant Miller, Community Newspapers proudly serves readers through 13 publications, Inspire Health Magazine, a trusted website at www.CommunityNewspapers.com, and a dynamic digital media network.

With a mission of “Bringing People Together,” Community Newspapers offers a platform where local businesses, civic leaders, and residents can share their voices. Its publications cover neighborhoods from Aventura and Sunny Isles to Coral Gables, South Miami, Pinecrest, Kendall, and beyond, delivering hyperlocal coverage that reflects the diversity of Miami-Dade County.

Along with its publications, Community Newspapers has become a leader in multimedia. Through CNEWS TV, Miami Community Views, and Inspire Health Magazine, the company delivers in-depth coverage, lifestyle content, and engaging storytelling. It produces more than 35 video podcasts each week, plus on-site video features, social media content, and digital campaigns. Local businesses can reach current and future customers by advertising across these trusted publications, specialty magazines, and online platforms.

Community Newspapers also plays a civic role as Miami-Dade’s official newspaper of record for legal notices, probate announcements, and Department of Labor PERM ads. This responsibility underscores its reputation for reliability and accuracy, making it a vital resource for attorneys, businesses, and residents.

The company’s connection to the community extends far beyond news coverage. Monthly “Meet & Greet” events, neighborhood celebrations, and partnerships with organizations like The Children’s Trust, Gilda’s Club, Live Like Bella, Easter Seals, and Be Strong International show a deep commitment to supporting local families, nonprofits, and small businesses.

Co-Publisher Grant Miller shared, “We’ve always believed a strong community needs a strong voice. Our job is to make sure every neighborhood has a place to be heard, whether that’s in one of our publications, a podcast, or a conversation at a local event.”

“As a family-owned business, our goal has always been to highlight the stories that matter most to our neighbors,” added Publisher Michael Miller. “We’re proud to give a voice to the people and organizations who make South Florida special.”

With trusted publications, specialty magazines, video, and digital storytelling, Community Newspapers continues to honor its legacy while embracing innovation.
