Butch Davis returns to South Florida and to the college football sidelines as the new head coach of the FIU football program.
Coach Davis and his coaching staff will be the guests of honor at the third annual FIU Kickoff Breakfast on Friday, Aug. 25, at the Riviera Country Club in Coral Gables. The breakfast is hosted again by FIU President Council members Howard Spiegel and Juan Del Busto.
Breakfast guests will have the opportunity to meet Coach Davis and his coaching assistants, learn about his return to South Florida, the upcoming FIU football season and his prescriptions for FIU to become a program that can earn national distinction.
Breakfast is $50 per person. Net proceeds will support academic services for FIU student athletes. Registration begins at 7 a.m.; breakfast is served at 7:30 a.m. with the program to follow.
