On October 6th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Dr. G’s Weight Loss & Wellness of Coral Gables will pull out its signature purple carpet to welcome area residents, local businesses, city officials and a host of celebrities to their grand opening celebration at 401 Miracle Mile, Suite 105 in Coral Gables. The event is free to attend and open to the public. Special guest appearances include world-renowned artist Carlos A. Navarro, musician Tito Puente, Jr., Coral Gables-based photographer Marilyn Scavo and television personality Karent Sierra. The first 50 guests will receive a free month of Dr. G’s Weight Loss & Wellness program.
City of Coral Gables Mayor Jim Cason and the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce will host a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony to welcome Dr. G’s Weight Loss & Wellness to the Coral Gables community, and clinic owners Jim Clark and Kim Medina will be presenting a check to the Coral Gables Museum as a way to give back to the community in which they work.
Gables Fitness will provide spinning and Zumba demonstrations and Boca Tanning Club will be giving away 20 free sessions to attendees. Complimentary cocktails will be provided courtesy of Santos Sangria®, Choco Noir®, and L’chaim Kosher Vodka.
As a special tribute, Marilyn Scavo will showcase her photography exhibit featuring Spanish-inspired works to pay homage to the architecture found throughout Coral Gables as well as to honor the Coral Gables Museum’s inaugural exhibits, launching later that month.
