Fine art show for children puts art at kid’s eye level

Just My Height Art Shows, which brings fine art to young children’s eye level by displaying professional-quality fine art at just 36 inches high, will donate a portion of the proceeds from its next production, called “The Writing on the Wall,” to the Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library in support of the Miami-Dade Public Library’s Project LEAD (Literacy for Every Adult in Dade) program.

The juried show, which will feature family friendly — though not juvenile or childish — artworks centered around the theme of letters and numbers, continues at Pyramid Studios, 8890 SW 129 Terr., through Friday, Feb. 27. The exhibit will showcase 20 artists from Miami and around the country. Entrance into the show is free; donations to the Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library will come through the sale of artwork featured in the show.
