Gulliver Fishing Club to host champion fishing captain

The Gulliver Fishing Club is proud to announce that world famous fishing guide Capt. Rick Murphy will be conducting a fishing seminar at the Gulliver Preparatory School on February 6, 2012. Murphy will be sharing his vast knowledge and experience of fishing South Florida waters during a two-hour seminar starting at 7:00 p.m. The free event is open to the public at 6575 N. Kendall Drive, Pinecrest, FL 33156.

The Gulliver Fishing Club, a community service club seeking to create opportunities for children with special needs to enjoy the experience of fishing, will be seeking donations to support the Fishing and Conservation Trust’s “Kids Let’s Go Fishing” program. All attendees will be eligible for numerous fishing merchandise raffles.

A life-long resident of South Florida, Murphy is a world famous fishing guide, television host and professional tournament angler.

He earned his reputation in the waters of Biscayne Bay, Everglades National Park and the Florida Keys by leading his clients to world-class catches and prestigious tournament victories. Murphy crossed saltwater boundaries in the tournament genre to win events and Angler of the Year honors at the ESPN, FLW Outdoors and IFA (Inshore Fishing Association) Redfish Tours, as well as on the South Florida blue water Sailfish circuit.

Besides his many duties as host of Sportsman’s Adventures and The Florida Insider Fishing Report television shows, Murphy acts as a consultant to Yamaha Motor Corporation USA, Contender Boats, Rapala Lures, Costa Del Mar Sunglasses and Maverick Boat Company. He also presents casting seminars and video presentations at fishing clubs and makes appearances at key fishing and boat shows on behalf of his sponsors.
