Following the devastation in the Florida Keys from Hurricane Irma, Islamorada Resort Collection, all located in Islamorada, Fla., are planning to reopen – better than ever – over the next six months thanks to the dedication and support of resort ownership, clean-up crews, and resort associates.

The hotel grouping includes Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina, Amara Cay Resort, La Siesta Resort & Marina, and Pelican Cove Resort & Marina.

“Our team is committed to restoring, rebuilding, and reopening all four of our Islamorada resorts as quickly as we can,” said Area General Manager of Islamorada Resort Company Eddie Sipple.

“We are incredibly thankful to our dedicated team who worked tirelessly to prepare our properties to resume full operations. We have engaged more than 500 construction workers who are currently doing everything they can to repair our properties so that we can welcome guests back in the near future.”

Each resort has varying degrees of storm damage, causing a staggered reopening of the resorts and their outlets. Starbucks at Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina has welcomed guests back and is the first of the collection’s entities to reopen. As the last Starbucks for 83 miles for travelers heading to Key West, the Islamorada Starbucks is open daily 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. and offers a comfortable space for gathering over coffee while sharing a front row view of the rebuilding of Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina.

Postcard Inn Beach Resort & Marina, an iconic Florida Keys resort getaway offering the retro, throwback feel of a nostalgic American beach vacation, is working to reopen its 145 guest rooms, suites and cottages. On the important list of improvements and openings at the playground resort is Ciao Hound Italian Kitchen & Bar, the famous Tiki Bar, Raw Bar, the Marina and its offerings, the dedicated wedding spaces, including Celebration Island and Bimini Row, meetings and event areas and resort activities throughout the beach.

Amara Cay Resort, the oceanfront beach resort anchored in the laid-back style and lighthearted atmosphere of Islamorada, will reopen its 110 guest rooms and suites, beautiful new resort pool, resort grounds with kitschy games and lush lawns, wedding venues and ReelBurger restaurant.

Embodying the relaxed lifestyle of the Florida Keys, Pelican Cove Resort & Marina will reopen its 63 guest rooms and suites, the Marina and Abel’s Tackle Box, oceanside pool and beach grounds and Wild & Lime poolside restaurant & bar.

As a true tropical haven tucked away in Islamorada, the 6-acre, palm-peppered La Siesta Resort & Marina will reopen its 54 guest rooms, cottages and houses, Marina & dockage, dedicated wedding areas, beach grounds, and Wild & Lime poolside restaurant & bar.

“The outpouring of love and support from the community as well as our loyal guests is overwhelming. We are proud to call Islamorada home and believe in #IslamoradaStrong,” said Sipple. “We look forward to reintroducing these resorts and their offerings, stronger and better than ever before.”
