Miami Dade College to open Saturdays for Fall Semester registration starting Aug. 4

Miami Dade College (MDC) will extend information center hours and offer on-site registration on Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to noon, beginning Saturday, Aug. 4, until Sept. 8.

Students will be able to meet with advisors, register for classes, explore financial aid options, and pay tuition. Fall semester classes begin Aug. 27.

MDC’s eight campuses and a major outreach center offer more than 300 academic pathways leading to bachelor’s degrees, associate in arts and science degrees and numerous career certificates, as well as a growing Virtual College.

MDC’s expanding bachelor’s degree options include supply chain management, information systems technology, biological sciences; electronics engineering; film, television and digital production; nursing; several education tracks; physician assistant studies; public safety; and supervision and management.

In addition to associate and baccalaureate degrees, MDC offers several College Credit Certificates to prepare students for emerging and in-demand careers, including in virtual/augmented reality, mechatronics, digital forensics, computer crime investigations, fire

fighter/emergency medical technician, television studio production, engineering technology support specialists, to name a few.

MDC also has much to offer beyond academics, including its annual Miami Book Fair (November 2018) and Miami Film Festival (March 2019), among other exciting cultural events. Check the MDC website regularly to learn more about college news and upcoming events.
