Members of the Coral Gables City Commission voted unanimously to name Peter Iglesias as the permanent city manager at the Sept. 25 commission meeting.
Iglesias will be responsible for the professional day-to-day management of the full-service municipality which includes 12 city departments and a workforce of 1,100 full- and part-time employees.
In other city news, the commission also approved the operating budget of approximately $200 million for fiscal year 2018-19, which began Oct. 1. About $24 million in capital projects are being funded.
