Coral Gables has completed the installation of new signs that remind drivers the new speed limit on all city residential streets is 25 miles per hour. Drivers are asked to obey the speed limit in order to make city streets safer for everyone. Coral Gables joins the likes of New York City, Paris, Milan and other cities in lowering the speed limit to decrease the frequency and severity of traffic injuries. To show support for this effort, residents can request, for free, a “I Drive the Limit” car magnet, by pledging to follow the rules of the road. Expect traffic safety enforcement in residential streets.
